Kidult is a word made by mixing kid and adult. It is used to describe adults who like things or activities traditionally intended for children. As a kidult herself who still has her childhood dream and love of toys at heart, her artworks reflect her questions about who defines what is for kids and adults and tackle a broader question regarding identity in general. She creates characters that cannot be categorized as specific species of animals and incorporate dolls and toys that never seem to lose creativity and uniqueness into her artwork. By doing this, she wants her artwork to deliver the message to contemporary people not to define or limit their potential, identity, and possibility and instead continuously explore and expand upon their tastes and identities. Also, the artist is giving an innovative try to blend the concept and topic of the west and east using characters. This synthesis of the west and the east in her artwork is unique, but also shows her hope for a new world with a better future without discrimination and hardship.
Also, she wants her new Hawatu (Eastern card game) series to act as good luck charms that attract wealth and happiness to the audiences.
