Gallery Grimson aims to provide a forum for artists and audiences to interact and communicate with each other through different forms of contemporary art. Having recently celebrated its grand opening in June 2008 in Insadong, an area widely recognized as being Seoul’s art center, the Gallery will strive to quickly become a premier destination for artists, collectors, curators and art lovers alike. At Gallery Grimson, our mission is to actively seek out undiscovered new artists whose works tackle new and innovative ideas and to carry out art projects designed to advance the appreciation for contemporary art in Korea.Moreover, the Gallery will showcase the talent of young Korean artists by bringing theirs works to the global marketplace through our broad international network and participation in various shows and exhibitions abroad.
갤러리 그림손은 다양한 쟝르의 현대미술작품을 통해 작가와 관객이 서로 소통하는 계기가 되었으면 하는 바람으로 2008년 6월 인사동에 개관하였습니다. 작가, 콜렉터, 큐레이터 외 미술을 사랑하는 모든 분들이 항상 기대하고 오고 싶은 갤러리가 되고자 합니다. 참신한 아이디어로 작품을 하는 젊은 작가들을 발굴하여 전시하는 동시에 향후에는 공공 미술 프로젝트와 아트상품을 개발하고 진행할 예정입니다. 또한, 다양한 국제적 네트워크를 활용하고 아트페어에 참가하여 한국의 우수한 작가와 작품을 해외 미술시장에 소개하여 새로운 작가와 미술시장 개척에 힘쓰고자 합니다.
